01 · Dial code 10 digit dip switch on the back of the gateway, dial to the corresponding position according to the brand chart (all 0 at the factory)
02 · Wiring Connect the air conditioning signal port to the corresponding port of the gateway using a 2-core shielded wire (RVVP 2 × 0.75mm ² or more). Cannot be replaced by Ethernet cable
03 · Power on Connect the DC 12-24V power supply to the gateway P1/P2 or DC12V port, and dial the address code for the air conditioning thermostat
04 · Docking RS485 or network port connection to the central control host/PLC/upper computer. Baud rate 9600, 8N1, Modbus RTU protocol

My home is equipped with Midea/Gree central air conditioning. Can I use it? Can. Both Midea and Gree support it. However, please note that these two brands recommend installing the gateway on the outdoor unit side. Midea has two types of wiring ports (X-Y or P-Q), please confirm your specific model before installation.
Does this gateway need to be connected to the internet? No need. The gateway communicates with your central control host through RS485 or Ethernet port. Even if the external network is disconnected, Modbus communication within the local area network is not affected. There is no monthly cloud platform fee and no account system.
How many internal devices can a gateway manage? Look at the brand. Mitsubishi Electric has a maximum of 50 units, while other brands (Daikin, Hitachi, Gree, Midea, etc.) have a maximum of 64 units. If it is a multi peripheral system, each peripheral is equipped with a separate gateway.
Can I connect to HomeAssistant? Can. Gateway output standard Modbus RTU/TCP protocol, HomeAssistant has native Modbus integration. Connect the RS485 cable to the USB to 485 module, configure the sensor and switch in HA, and complete it in a few minutes.
Do installation require professional personnel? It is recommended to have HVAC or weak current engineers handle the operation. The air conditioning signal line needs to be connected (cannot be connected incorrectly, otherwise the fuse will be blown), and a code needs to be dialed. It is not recommended for ordinary users to do it themselves.
