Precautions for use
- When configuring Modbus cache commands, the collector needs to work in the power on configuration state
- Before using the collector, it is necessary to clarify the data format of each device, including baud rate, data bits, parity bits, stop bits, etc;
- If there is a checksum configured in the communication settings, add 1 bit to the data bit. For example, if your device needs to be configured with 8 E, 1. The collector must be configured as 9 E, 1;
- Before collecting data from slave stations, it is necessary to list the device ID numbers, register addresses, and quantities of all slave devices that the master station needs to read or write, and configure them into the collector through the upper computer configuration assistant;
- After configuring the Modbus cache command correctly, the collector will actively contact the slave to obtain all data from the corresponding registers. If the cache command is not set correctly, the request for slave data will be unsuccessful or intermittent, which can be recognized by the slave indicator light;
- If the cache command is not set correctly, it may also cause the master device to not obtain the correct slave data;
- After the configuration is completed, the collector must be powered on again before it can work properly
- Due to the diversity of firmware versions, it is recommended to reset the serial port configuration after changing the collector instruction set each time;
- As long as the mobus instruction set setting prompt of the collector is successful, data can be collected normally. If the read command is not available or incomplete, it may be caused by software and system incompatibility, and can be ignored.
